Looking around the many social media channels on offer today and checking out what our peers are saying, when it comes to NonStop there is considerably impetus developing behind NonStop X. These are the Intel chip-based systems from the HPE NonStop team and support the Intel X architecture. On the other hand, when it comes to OmniPayments, there is so much going on today at the company that perhaps where we are headed isn’t all that clear. First up, and something OmniPayments CEO Yash Kapadia constantly reminds me of, is that OmniPayments is customer-driven. OmniPayments is not beholden to a group of faceless shareholders as may be the case with other payments solutions providers, but rather as a private company, it really is beholden to its customers. Whenever major NonStop community events are put on by the HPE NonStop team, the single biggest request from the community is to hear more from NonStop users. There have been a couple of highly successful RUG events on both sides of the United States – one in Tampa and the other in the Phoenix / Scottsdale area. Both events pulled a lively group of NonStop users together and it was reported that in Tampa there were almost 100 attendees present. Next up, it will be Southern California’s turn, before May arrives and attention turns to Europe where both the British Isles (BITUG) and the very impressive pan-European event jointly held with GTUG will take place. If you have plans to be in either the UK (London) or Germany (Leipzig) then check your calendar and if you can make either one of these events, then plan on doing so. OmniPayments flies higher with Payments-as-a-Service

It’s getting harder and harder to ignore the cloud revolution. Its adoption is now pervasive, its growth year on year is in double-digits. As an example, Amazon Web Services continues its onward march and Microsoft’s Azure strategy is driving significant growth for the once windows-focussed company; they recently reported a rather glorious 68% year on year growth in their cloud business. Cloud expenditure growth is now 7 times greater than overall IT spend. But why has its rise been so meteoric? OmniPayments was impressed by OzTUG – Sydney and Melbourne

OmniPayments flew the miles and made it “down under.” Paul Chandler and Vineet Bansal went to the events and came away impressed with what they saw. “There were almost seventy attendees in Sydney and around thirty attendees in Melbourne. And there was a goodly number of HPE personnel on hand to see how well the NonStop community remains fully engaged with NonStop systems, middleware and solutions,” said Chandler. It is a long way to travel and it can be weary but there really isn’t any place on earth quite like Australia. “OmniPayments took full advantage of the presence of HPE management,” added Chandler. “Our first action item from the event is an impressive one as Suresh Menon, GM Mission Critical Solutions, HPE Asia Pacific, requested we provide a WebEx for him and his regional NonStop sales teams.” As one of the few solution’s vendors participating in OzTUG it is always interesting to observe the interactions between HPE and companies like OmniPayments as HPE sales teams
