OmniPayments covers a lot of ground at NonStop Technical Bootcamp; customers step up to talk about experience with OmniPayments!

Whenever major NonStop community events are put on by the HPE NonStop team, the single biggest request from the community is to hear more from NonStop users. Now that the event has wrapped up and most Americans are celebrating the Thanksgiving’s long weekend, there is time to reflect on what NonStop user presentations were provided at this year’s NonStop Technical Boot Camp and from the feedback provided by the NonStop vendor community, OmniPayments led the way with support for three user presentations; Evertec, JCPenney and an update from Visa Direct now supported by OmniPayments.

As the photo above depicts, there is still plenty of room for others to hear the news from NonStop users even as this photo first posted to LinkedIn has been viewed many times. The NonStop community is often called upon to advocate strongly in support of NonStop so having knowledge of real world use-case scenarios is invaluable. VISA Direct provides a Person-to-Person capability whereby, “OmniPayments routes the transactions to VISA and banks and merchants save time and money, all thanks to OmniPayments,” said Yash, OmniPayments CEO.. Under the session heading of Changing the world of Payments Processing, when it comes to use-case scenarios then, according to Yash, “This is just scratching the surface for us as we anticipate further business as a result of the work being done for VISA.”

The presentation provided by Evertec - a leading technology and electronic transaction company, based in San Juan, Puerto Rico, took advantage of the opportunity to talk about the impact of the  Hurricane Maria and subsequent survival of their operations. . Evertec is looking to expand beyond the Caribbean to go deeper into Latin America so having a plan in place to ride out major storms in the region is an important marketing consideration for them. To this end, the built-in replication capabilities of OmniPayments allowed Evertec to leverage the active-active properties of OmniPayments replication to continue processing following the full impact of Maria.

As for the session where JCPenney took the stage, it proved to be yet one more presentation by a major retailer having successfully migrated off of BASE24 and onto the OmniPayments solution. When it came to the key highlights of the presentation, it wasn’t hard to miss the emphasis JCPenney gave to the lower overall cost, including support and maintenance, of  OmniPayments versus BASE24, the flexibility of software to better support the changing retail environment JCPenney faces today, and the real-time metrics and data provided by an OmniPayments monitoring team who also demonstrated considerably more responsiveness to JCPenney than previously experienced working with ACI Worldwide.

TBC proved to be a showcase for users running mission critical applications on NonStop systems in competitive situations and during times of devastation. NonStop just keeps on processing and with the OmniPayments solution with all the built-in capabilities that come with its payments solution, there is a certainty that the full scope of NonStop capabilities are exploited to the benefit of all users. And this is the stories the NonStop community just loves to hear whenever there is a major gathering of the community, such as at this year’s NonStop Technical Boot Camp.
