OmniPayments is proving that with OmniCloudX, FIs can provide their payments solutions from out of a cloud!
As the year’s major events continue to attract
attendees worldwide, these forums prove ideal venues for OmniPayments to
provide updates on IT choices available to Financial Institutions (FIs) looking
to enhance their product offerings. It’s a competitive world and many of the
legacy solutions that these FIs have depended upon for decades are proving to
be both outdated and inflexible. Whether it is in Chile at the southern end of
South America or in the balmy waters around the Caribbean’s Dominican Republic
or even the wide open prairies surrounding Grapevine, Texas – there have been
many opportunities to hear more about OmniPayments. And to no one’s surprise, there has been no
other OmniPayments product that has captured the attention of Financial
Institutions more so than the OmniCloudX product.
The development of OmniCLoudX followed close on the heels of the HPE NonStop team announcing the availability of NonStop on Intel x86 architecture. Together with the introduction of InfiniBand as the interconnect fabric, replacing the former proprietary ServerNet (the handprint of ServerNet can be seen all over InfiniBand), moving to industry-standard commodity hardware assured NonStop’s longevity in the marketplace. This encouraged vendors working with NonStop to make further investments in developing additional capabilities for their NonStop solutions. OmniCloudX came out of the realization that NonStop was going to play an important role in HPE’s vision for Mission Critical Systems (MCS) – an observation by OmniPayments that is bearing fruit already, as today, there are FIs that have deployed OmniCloudX in support of their own payments processing.
Why would FIs turn a favorable eye towards cloud based solutions? Surely, there are serious issues concerning privacy and security! It’s all well and good to ride a popularity wave, but at what cost? However, when it comes to OmniCloudX and OmniPayments growing support for Applications-as-a-Service, having its own global cloud in place marries the security of having a private cloud with the accessibility and provisioning that typically only comes with public clouds. On the other hand, OmniPayments can concentrate its knowledge and experience in locations that can be better leveraged by FIs as OmniPayments has always been service focused – long before OmniPayments introduced their product family into the marketplace, it had been an FI’s services vendor. According to OmniPayments, LLC CEO, Yash Kapadia and captured in the feature OmniPayments addresses audiences worldwide – have you taken a good look at OmniCloudX lately? just published in the August, 2019 issue of NonStop Insider:

“When we introduce them to OmniCloudX
they are taken by surprise. It comes completely unexpected that with our
recently deployed multi-site NonStop X based cloud, we can provide
OmniPayments-as-a Service for a very low monthly fee.
“This option has opened more than a few doors
as trialing and then piloting OmniPayments without any upfront hardware
commitment appeals to all of our prospects looking for a modern payments
switch.
“No question, every financial
institution has become aware of the competitiveness of cloud services and of
how cloud providers can cut deeply into traditional operational expenses.
“It is hard to ignore the overtures
these cloud providers make, but when it comes to running a payments solution,
24 x 7, in the real world with resources assigned 24 x 7, suddenly the offerings
from purveyors of public clouds doesn’t look quite as attractive.”
