OmniPayments, “down under!”

News is just beginning to filter in about OmniPayments presence in the Antipodes. Many Financial Institutions may not fully comprehend the strength and diversity of banking and retail across Australia and New Zealand, but it was that significant that the former Tandem Computers made a substantial investment in the country putting together a team of 100 plus in the early 1990s to support a flourishing user community. Indeed, over a couple of glasses of fine wine, OzTUG came into being in 1989 (as we recall) and over time the OzTUG community gave us two ITUG Chairs – Tony Bond and Richard Buckle!

But now it’s a different time and the OzTUG is looking to the vendor community for insights into migrating to NonStop X systems. To help out, OmniPayments sent Paul Chandler and Vineet Bansal to the event. Look for updates to follow shortly as both Paul and Vineet attended the OzTUG events in Sydney and Melbourne – have to admit, kind of fun to read that the Melbourne event was held at the Golden Gate Hotel in South Melbourne. And it was also kind of fun to see how many people took time away from busy schedules to participate as already pictures have arrived showing how well supported the event was … and congrats too go to the team effort that came from HPE.

OmniPayments is building up its presence around the Pacific Rim – from Chile to Central America on through to Japan and, as it builds out its plans, is looking forward to having a bigger impact on the marketplace in Australia and New Zealand. So watch for more updates in the near future!  And yes, OmniPayments was a very proud sponsor of this year’s OzTUG events!
