It all happened in Palo Alto; OmniPayments capitalized on NonStop!

When the HPE NonStop team members advertise a special event just for NonStop partners you just have to show up to hear what they have to say. It was the third NonStop Partner Technical Symposium, the presence of just everybody in the NonStop vendor community was a ringing endorsement that the NonStop platform continues to attract investments and that with NonStop X and virtualized NonStop (vNS) there is plenty to cheer about! There was a tight security blanket thrown over much of the content as each vendor signed CDAs with the bigger HPE, a couple of generalities can be communicated at this time that are of particular importance to the OmniPayments user community.

The Mission Critical Systems group where NonStop lives saw a number of management changes.  The new VP and GM of Mission Critical Systems, Jeff Kyle, and the new head of NonStop development in Palo Alto, Teresa Sorg, were introduced to the audience even as we all heard that Randy Meyer is now just one removed from HPE CEO, Antonio Neri, having moved up to VP and GM, Compute Solutions. For the OmniPayments community this is good news as there is a hierarchy within HPE forming that is deeply rooted in all things NonStop and our voice will be heard at the highest levels within HPE.

We all know how much the NonStop platform depends on a strong partners’ ecosystem and this was perhaps the most obvious positive outcome from this latest Partner Symposium – encouraging messages coming from a lot of the participants about their future investments in NonStop resonating strongly with all present. There were a number of high-profile NonStop vendors who weren’t sure about pursuing further investments following the announcement of the NonStop X systems but their reservations about investing in NonStop has allowed other NonStop vendors to step in more aggressively and they have gained additional business.

OmniPayments is a strong supporter of both NonStop X and vNS and, as a result, has landed new business including some major enterprises. OmniPayments, too, has stepped up its own investment in the NonStop platform so look for further announcements concerning both OmniCloudX and virtualization shortly. Safe to say, the direction HPE is taking with NonStop gives OmniPayments ample opportunity to further capitalize on the only enterprise-grade fault tolerant computer in the marketplace and for banks and retailers everywhere, failure has never been an option!
